Camp Circa 2013

When Circa Lighting asked us to turn their new warehouse space into a cozy holiday party, we were excited to take on the challenge. Using the adjacent lot as inspiration for an outdoors event that focused on getting back to nature, we staged a camp-like space where Circa’s hard-working “scouts” could relax around an open fire and regale on this year’s finest moments. With an old, rusted canoe, two trailers of hay, and a sea of candlelit mason jars, we gave the folks at Circa a camp experience worth writing home about. Project Breakdown: Best of Savannah 2013

This year’s Best of Savannah party hosted by Savannah Magazine was a swinging Jazz bash centered around the opulence of the roaring 1920’s. With Gatsby’s taste and a fresh color palette in mind, we had the pleasure of setting a swanky background to what would become one of the most talked about events of the year. Take a peek below at some of the photos captured by photographer Katie McGee for Savannah Magazine and leave a comment with your favorite vignette of the night!

Project Breakdown: High-Style Kitchen

When a New York-native family moved into an 1850s row house right in the heart of historic downtown Savannah, they imagined a space that reflected both the relaxed atmosphere of Southern spaces and the high-style interiors found throughout “the big apple.” The result is a sophisticated, contemporary home that places an emphasis on functionality while pushing the limits of design. 1. A custom brass light fixture sits above the island to center the room and bring a warmer feel to an otherwise utilitarian space. 2. Use every inch of vertical space by placing back-lit storage above existing cabinetry. We recommend using push-touch cabinet fasteners to avoid having to use typical knob hardware for a streamlined facade. 3. Having built-in adjustable shelves at counter height allow for easy access of kitchen items used most often such as spices and coffee. This kitchen features a motorized backsplash that conceals shelf clutter with…

Behind the Scenes: Custom Feather Wallpaper

We had the opportunity to do some really fun, custom designs for our latest downtown project – from upholstery and furnishings down to the artwork and wallpaper. The powder room on the first level is no exception. Using a patterned graphic wallpaper, we were able to transform a small hidden space into an inviting conversation-starter that guests will enjoy using. Like any custom project, this feather wallpaper had a lengthy design process that began with inspiration and slowly transformed through stages of manipulating and tweaking into the final design our clients see today. To give you an idea of how the process works, we’ve broken down a few key elements that led to the ultimate installation of this completely unique powder room: Would you let a small space in your home go from boring to bold with the help of our feather wallpaper? Leave your thoughts in the…

Project Breakdown: Gabby

Today begins the first full reveal of our most recent project! Located in the heart of Downtown Savannah, this four-story townhouse is now home to a family of four who longed for a place to reflect their unique personalities all under one (conveniently located) roof. When we first entered the space, the top floor was similar to the rest of the house: traditionally painted rooms with dark wood floors and millwork in need of a little TLC. With a little paint and some elbow grease, we transformed the third floor into an airy London-esque flat that gives the two teenage girls a loft-like place to escape. The first top floor space belongs to Gabby: an active girl with a love of all things bright and poppy. We gave her a neutral canvas with hints of bright turquoise for a sophisticated room that puts “boring” on the opposite spectrum. Click here…
